Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

live in Georgia. I have been married for 14 years. My wife wants a divorce. No agreements have been made nor have either of us filed. My questions have to do with our "property". We both have children from our previous marriages. question 1. My daughter was given a TV for Christmas last year from the two of us. Can my wife claim that TV as our marital property? 2. We bought a car 4 years ago and paid cash. The cash came from our join t account which we both contribute to. The car was titled in her name. Is this considered our "marital property" and therefor subject to division? 3. I have bought her quite a bit of expensive jewelry since we got married. Is this subject to division. 4. Finally.. last question.. our debt. She has about $5000 in credit card debt. Most of that debt is from making household purchases etc. Am I liable for "half" of that debt? TY in advance

With the very little information you gave, here are my brief thoughts/opinions (not legal advice):

1. No.

2. Yes.

3. No.

4. Yes.

You need to consult with a family law attorney who specializes in divorces and give hie/her all of the facts and documentation as these answers may change given the actual facts behind each questions and what facts you have to support you case. This is not meant to be legal advice, it is only my opinion on this site and should not be used for anything else as there are no guarantees that these answers comport with the evidence in your case.

Good luck
