Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I live in New Jersey, my ex husband lives in NY. We have four children. Two live with me, two live with him. (We have split joint custody). It was brought to my attention that my two daughters who live with him have been being abused by his new wife. A solution has been presented for them to live with a friend in Georgia. I am supportive that my daughters go to GA to alleviate their current situation. We are reviewing legal paperwork for temporary guardianship, and my question is... Can the new guardians block my visitation rights, or sue me for child support? What are my rights as a natural parent, and what are their rights as temporary guardians?

I am curious why your two daughters are going to live with temporary Guardians in Georgia and not going to New Jersey to live with you. Are both you and the father consenting to a Guardianship? The Guardians do have the right to petition for child support. If you want visitation rights, it will need to be built into the consent order. You are essentially signing over your rights as a parent to provide care for the children to someone else. You really need to speak to an attorney about something this serious and not merely do a quick on-line post as if it is a simple issue.
