Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

If you are married and your wife puts you on child support. you'll live together with the child, although you still pay it. You get behind due to lack of work. Can your wife file abandonment warrant against you if you are still in the household.

First of all, your wife could not have filed for child support if you were living together at the time. The fact that an order was issued tells me you were separated. If you moved back in, you or your Wife should have taken the necessary steps to stop the child support. Your wife can make an application for an abandonment warrant. A hearing is set in order for you to appear and show if you are or are not providing support for your child. Take in your receipts, contributions to the household, and any other evidence showing you are residing together to the hearing. If you are able to show you are contributing, then the warrant will probably not issue. If you intend to remain together, stop the support order.
