Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Can I move in with someone other than my mother? My best friends mother is like a mom to me and I would much rather live with them. They have told me that I could if I could get it sorted out and it was legal. Is it? And Can I?

Sure you can choose, if you are 18. Otherwise, how would you expect to get it sorted out and legal? Start dealing with the reality that someone else's family will always look better from the outside (so wil jobs, friends, and everything else in life), and you don't just bail out on a whim. Your friend's mother also might not be such a real friend to you if she is encouraging you to leave your mother.

If you are over 18, yes. If you are under 18, no.

Scott and Glen are right -- yes you can chose to live where you wish once you reach the age of majority (in GA it is 18) -- BUT you need to grow up first !!

Remember, child, the grass always APPEARS greener on the other side of the fence but, in real life, it usually is not!!

Good Luck
