Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

recovering child support

My x-husband owes his children over 23,000 dollars in back child support. He cashed in one of his 401k plans he had with the railroad. He has another pension plan. The child support recovery in Newnan GA. has asked the railroad to give some support from there. The refuse to answer. I have tried to contact them and can't get an answer either. The state couldn't care less weather people get their child support or not so is there another way to go about this?

Thank you

Re: recovering child support

Assuming your divorce was in GA, the court in the county that granted it can entertain a Motion for Contempt. You should consult a local attorney. If you are in my area, please feel free to give me a call.
