Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My wife and I are divorcing. We are both staying with our respective parents. We have agreed on custody, and separating bills/debt. My wife has, in the past, kept my son from seeing my mother. My mother is now advising me to seen temporary custody until the divorce is final due to history between her and my wife. I'm sure that will cause a legal battle between me and my wife. Should I listen to my mother and file for temporary custody and have to fight for full, or should I continue on with what we agreed and hope she doesn't try to fight it last minute?

You state the issue - a relatively amicable divorce with your wife, or interference from someone else who is not involved and who will get you into a battle. Your divorce is between you, your wife and your child -- not your mother, her mother or anyone else. If there is not a lawyer involved, look for a "collaborative" lawyer who can help you and your wife with the necessary paperwork and support documents.
