Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

If my wife is leaving to move overseas for good. We have had marriage problems for a while due to her involvement with other men. In fact, she is leaving to be with someone eventhough she doesn't admit it. If she leaves, I would like to file for divorce and child custody for my two children. What are my options if she doesn't care to return or doesn't respond to it from overseas. Can divorce and custody be granted in such circumstances? Can she challenge it at a later date should she ever decide to return?

Your legal issues would best be handled inside of an attorney/client relationship. Your best action will be to employ legal counsel well in advance of your wife's departure.

You need to hire a lawyer immediately. The complexity and problems in your case could actually multiply after your wife moves. Get counsel as soon as possible to determine what to do and when to do it.
