Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Three years ago my ex-husband took me to court for custody of our teenage daughter who was 17 years old at the time. She has a mild form of Asperber's, ADHD and was diagnose with depression. She at the time elected to go live with him and 5 step siblings. He sometimes blocks all communications between she and I. I have asked him in the past can I see her. he denies me or makes some excuses. Since she is 19 years old now and is not independent , do I still need to ask him for permission to see my own daughter. Through communication with her other sibling who lives with me, she does wish to see me.

Legally she's an adult and you can contact her as you wish.
Unless the father has some sort of adult guardianship, and if he did you would have been noticed of his petition and had the opportunity to contest it, your daughter can do whatever she wants. If she wants to leave his residence and live with you she can. If she has a mild form of Aspergers, she is a functioning adult who is capable of making her own decisions.
