Rights t to property in a divorce

If a couple are contemplating a divorce and the husband has the primary residence in his name but they both have been paying for it for 15 years does the wife have any rights to half the value of the property

Possibly.

But, you need to understand that NY is an "Equitable Property," "Common Law," and historically a "Title" state with respect to marital property interests.

Which means that a spouse's interest or share in property in NY, that is or may be deemed "marital property" is not necessarily or automatically deemed to be 50%.
