Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

I brought my car to Mercedez Benz dealer because my heater is not working. They told me it would be $125 for diagnostic fee. I agreed. They told me they believed it's there were some kind of electrical malfunction that prevent the heater to work and it would cost me around $500 to fix it so the heater would work. I agreed and tell them to fix it. Everything was over the phone, I did not sign anything. A week later, they call and told me that after they fix that electrical emalfunction, my heater is still not working and they said they believer the heater box control is not working and need to be replace and it would cost about $4500. I was like..... I told them that I will not fix it because my car is 2002 and is not worth spending $4500 to fix a heater. However I would not agree to pay the $500 for whatever they did because it didn't fix my heater. They miss diagnosted. the question is. Am I obligated to pay that $500??? They hold my car now untill I pay. I will pay $125 diagnostic fee but not $500. please help!!
