Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

My ex-fiance is threatening me, because I don't want to take him back, to not honor a business deal we had together (real estate - duplex - in construction, which he is in charge of overseeing). I have put so far $30k in it, and he has $7,400. This deal was made when we were engaged to be married. However, since the relationship went sour because he had a bad habit of throwing me out of our home anytime he got angry, last time he threw me out, I left to my friend's home in Charlotte. (We lived in Atlanta together for over two years) The times he had thrown me out before, I returned because he apologized and promised change, but also because we worked together in a company I helped him create in 2014. He never paid me a paycheck, as he did himself, because he claimed it would cost too much in taxes for the company. He paid my bills instead, and because I have "the good girl syndrome," I accepted that knowing it was wrong. Now, he took my engagement ring back, which he gave to me on Valentine's day of 2013 and that I considered my guarantee for the times he threw me out and after one of the times he threw me out and I stayed at a friend's home in Atlanta, he told me that the ring was mine and I should never give back to him even if he asked for it back. Turns out, when I told him I was leaving to Charlotte the last time he threw me out, he aggressively demanded the ring back and I was scared and gave it to him. I did tell him what he had said prior, and he said that we didn't get married so the ring was his and it didn't matter what he had said. I left and now he wants me back but I don't want to be with him anymore. Now, he's threatening to not honor our real estate business deal, walk out on overseeing the construction (as he agreed was his part of the work) and giving me 10k back only of the 30k I've put in. I purchased the property in cash under my name, I have two deeds - one in my name and one in the LLC name that I've created for the business deal we had agree to. He has made this threat for the past month, since I've left him, and every time I refused to speak to him romantically. I am sick of his threats and afraid of what he will do. I don't want to screw anyone over and I don't want the ring back, I want him to respect the business deal and either honor it or give me my investment money back. I feel that he does that because he knows my savings are all into that property and I have nothing to fall back on, and to control me and demand I go back with him and enter his drama again. Please help me!

Nothing you posted answers the question. It is always foolish to do a business deal with a fiance, or to buy property together, but the one way to do it is to have your lawyer draft a detailed contract with the terms. Since you keep saying "we had a deal" and never mention a contract, you may have messed up badly. You can probably take $10,000 to $25,000 and hire a lawyer and sue, and you actually may have to, and this deal will become a disaster for both of you, with legal fees that may dwarf the deal, unless the two of you can, with a lawyer's help, work out a deal before you sue. Your legal fees, and his, absent an agreement now, will be larger than the project. Romance and business deals never belong together, as you have learned.
