Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

falsly accused

I was charged with sexual battery and solicitation. There was no evidence, just her word. Went to court and was foun d innocent. The ''victim'' lied numerous times in court and had changed imporatant aspects of her story in court. I can prove she lied!

There was no evidence, only her word.

Also, the police dept that handled this contacted my employer to see if I had any claims of sexual harasement against me, telling my employer I was being accused of rape (which I never was).

can I sue the state and/or the poilce dept?

Re: falsly accused

I doubt that you have a case against the state or the police department. However, you may have a case against her and/or the individual cop who falsely told someone you were accused of rape.
