Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

I found a stray dog that was "dumped" out at my work place. We took the dog to the vet and discovered that there was a microchip in the dog. The person who had the chip put in the dog has not owned the dog in a year and a half. We spoke with the person and she admits that she gave the dog to someone, who then turned around and gave it to someone else...the person who dumped the dog!! I took the dog home and gave it to my son. She is now calling wanting the dog back. She is threatening to come out to my place of employment with the police if I don't meet her and give her the dog. Does she have a legal right to the dog and is there anything she can do?

If she owned the dog she would still own it unless she relinquishes it.
