Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

I purchased a home about a year ago and was told it had a new roof just put on. Well this roof has stated to leak in multiple places and is messing up some flooring and walls. The sellers live in the neighborhood still and they won't give me any paperwork for the roof. They told me it wasn't a company and just someone off Craigslist that did it. My realtor also tried to get info and he had no luck either. I had the home inspected and he did find one hole above the garage to be fixed but I guess didn't look anywhere else. I don't feel I should be responsible in having to pay for all these repairs since I was told it was new and plus I had it inspected. My current neighbors told me that they told the sellers they saw the roofers not doing a good job but she didn't care. I don't have the money for a new roof plus the other repairs. Do I have any recourse? I live in Savannah ga if that helps.

Thank you

First, you should not put your name on public posts like this, as instructed on the site. You have a tough case. First, it appears that the sellers told you they had a new roof installed and that was the truth. Second, apparently your inspector failed to notice any defects. You would likely pay as much in fees and expenses than repairs and your post indicates you probably don't have a claim at all unless there is some kind of warranty in the contract. Of course, you can take all the documents to a lawyer for a full review.
