What actions can I take if I don't receive my paychecks on time?

Re: My Paycheck

If your employer cannot adequately explain why you are not being paid timely, you should go to the Georgia Department of Labor regarding the matter. However, you should firs think about trying to work it out with your employer before doing taking this step.

If your employer refuses to pay you for work, you have the option of going to the Georgia Department of Labor and/or taking your employer to small claims court. Of course, you may want to think about repurcusions regarding current and future employment before you make your decision.
