Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

I have a power of attorney for my son who is currently serving 120 day in jail, I am trying to get information from his employer but they tell me that it is their policy not to accept a POA or speak to anyone but the employee on any matters related to the employee. If anyone can just choose to not accept a legal POA what good is it. Can the employer do this?

Sure they can. A power of attorney says you have your son's permission to do certain things, but you cannot require someone to deal with you. If you have a need for specific information, you should consult with a lawyer to see if it is something you can obtain and how you might obtain it.
