Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

I was looking at this apartment complex to move to, but they didn't have anything available to show but advised me that if I didn't go ahead & place my security deposit I could risk not getting the apartment. So I did. I was told that I could see the apt the following Monday. Monday comes & I still can't see it. I was told to come back Friday. Something came up so I told them I could come by on Monday which is today. So now they dnt have anything 2 show b/c some1 has already moved in. They lied to me. Now I won't be able to see the apt until I move in. There could be issues that I don't want to deal with. Then they said after 72 hours I forfeit my security deposit. No1 told me this. I have not signed the lease but I have paid the $250 deposit. I asked them was there anything about the application or lease that I needed to know of and they said no. I was lied to in more than one way. What advice do you guys have to give?

The next time you need to be smarter and not give money to someone that doesn't have any units to show you. Be thankful that you will not be moving to a place run by such people and learn from the lesson.
