Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

COPY OF LEASE

I've been living in an apartment for one week. My landlord never furnished me with a copy of my lease. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I would like to move, and break the lease. Can I use not having a copy of the lease as a reason to break it?

No - Although the landlord should give you a copy (have you even asked???) you should have taken the initiative to make a copy or get a copy when you signed.
