Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

My friends son moved into a trailer in a park. He has a dog that weighs 80 lbs. He was told that he needed to pay a $250. 00 deposit for this dog to be kept there. Now that he has lived there since Nov 2009 the managers have changed. Keep in mind that this is only a person that collects all rent owed. The new manager went door to door saying that only 15 lb dogs will be permitted. The thing is that there are quite a few people that have dogs and have the same agreement as my friends son.

So this is my question. If a person has a written lease which has not expired. And a dog is included in this lease with a deposit already paid with the previous manager. Is this legal to tell him he had to get rid of his dog and what about the $250.00 that he paid??

Based on what you have said, he can't be forced to get rid of the dog. However, consult with a local attorney.
