Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

My husband and I rented a house in Georgia, due to family reasons we broke our lease early and moved home to Connecticut. They ended up renting the house within 10 days. The landlord is now charging us over $3000 on a move out statement. They stated that I forfeited the deposit and that all damages are to be paid in full. If they take us to small claims court which state would they be able to file, and if We are already in a chapter 13 bankruptcy how much can they get

They sill sue in Georgia. They don't have to follow you after you breach a lease in Georgia - your responsibilities are in Georgia. However, if you are in Chapter 13, you are asking your questions in the wrong place. The only person who can answer your questions is your lawyer, who knows about your case and can deal with issues of your debts. Your lawyer will tell you whether the landlord can sue, and how the debt is dealt with.
