Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

we signed a letter to vacate for an apartment and paid all the fees that were listed. 2 months later they said we owed 300 more dolars due to concessions that were in the lease. there was noth in the letter to vacate. the manager said to let it go and it would be dropped. a collections agency has called and said we had to pay that and it is now on our credit reports. am i responsible for that fee?

Go back and get the manager to put in writing what he told you verbally.
