Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Georgia

Lawyer represents after contracts canceled

A lawyer Represented me 3 separate times (without my knowledge)after he canceled our contract

The lawyer represented me for 4 years.

He resigned from my case on a sept 2 2004 in written format. He called me Sept 3 at 10am to tell me that he was resigning. I agreed. That was the last time that I spoke for almost a year.

On Sept 6th, he asked the judge to be removed from my case. The judge said only after I found a new lawyer. That same day, the lawyer withdrew my case from court (without my knowledge).

After my new lawyer communicated to him that I may have a malpractice case against him, the former lawyer tried to get me case reinstated, to no avail.

The following year Feb 2005, my former lawyer again represented me in an official manner (without my knowledge). The former defense attorney's had a mediation in order to secure funds from me - due to my lawyer having my case voluntarily dismissed twice (both times were without my knowledge). My former lawyer paid them $1000 each out of his own pocket (on my behalf). I found all of this out around April 2005 when I was filing my rebuttle against him with the Georgia Bar Association.

The Supreme Court of Ga is investigating him. Can I sue for mental anguish

Those are issues to ask your new lawyer. That is why you hired him/her and we can't give you a better answer than someone who knows the relevant facts.
