1 year ago my wife was rushed to er for chest pain. when first arriving at the ER they gave her asprin and a shot of lovenox to thin her blood. but said did not appear to be her heart. they know she has a history of ulcers. they kept her over night to keep an eye on her. 5:00 am her blood press. bottomed out and they rushed her to the ICU. where she remained for about 10 days because she lost so much blood. over the course of 10 days or so they gave her about 7 units of blood. she spent a total of about 22 days in the hospital. now we have an outstanding debt that has been turned over for collections could the be held liable because they knew she has ulcers?
