Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Georgia

Gallbladder removed

A surgeon told me I would die if I did not have my gall bladder removed. Now she took my gall bladder and the stomach pains are worse and I have female problems that are causing the pain. Is there a case?

Re: Gallbladder removed

You don't state that the surgeon was wrong or negligent in any way. You do not identify the cause of your current pain or what the surgeon had to do with it. There are many other issues. That is just a start. You'll need to get expert opinions that the surgeon was negligent (more than the mere fact that their treatment was not the cure). You can start with a lawyer who handles medical malpractice as their primary (or only) area and he/she can evaluate the situation.

It's too early for a lawyer to tell you if you have a case. You first need to go to another doctor and see if that doctor would be willing to sign an affidavit that the first doctor was negligent. Then, if so, consult with a local attorney.
