Possibly. Bear in mind that waiting this long may have seriously jeapordized any case you might have, and if you delay just a bity longer, you will forever lose all rights you may have to sue, so you should be in a lawyer's office literally in the next couple days.

Without more information there is no way to evaluate your case and you have already lost a year that should have been used by a lawyer to investigate as needed.

Re: airbags notdeploying

The expense of making a claim for airbag product liability would probably exceed $100,000 for experts, depositions, etc. No lawyer would advance those expenses and work on a contingent fee basis unless the damages are catastrophic, e.g., paralysis, profound brain damage, etc. The injuries you describe are not that serious.

You should do your research on attorneys who are used to handling these type cases and talk to several of these attorneys. You may be able to hire an attorney who may be able to settle the matter without filing suit. However, it is important that you find an attorney who is used to handling faulty airbag cases. Lawyers.com and findlaw.com may be able to get you started in finding an attorney.

If you have outstanding bills related to your injuries and/or your expenses were not covered by a third party you may be able to get GM to cover them. However, you should attempt to do so without delay.
