Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

I can't find an atty to take my case

I was in an accident Jan 2007. Hired an atty who barely kept in contact w/me over 2 yrs. Had trouble getting medical treatment for my injuries on my own because reluctance of most medical facilities and practitioners to accept MedPay insurance, lack of personal funds and law firm offered no help thus jeopardizing my case citing gaps in treatment, etc. Atty made demand to insurance w/o consulting me on my progress, current injuries, etc and insurance co made low-ball offer. Atty refused to file suit and was pressuring me to settle when I was still seeking treatment/diagnosis for ongoing problems. I released atty for what I felt was failure to act w/due diligence. Was forced to file suit on my own as SOL was only 2 wks away. Have not been able to find another atty who will take on this case....only ones who want to force me to settle for an amount that doesn't even include current med bills and out of pocket costs for treatment, nor for pain/suffering, future losses. Ive been diagnosed w/MTBI and TMJ related neck/jaw/shoulder pain and have a worsening hip/back injury. Defendant's atty has filed to have case dismissed because I can't answer the interrogatories and such as I don't comprehend any of this legalese. What can I do?

Call my office and ask to speak to my associate, John Adkins. If there is liability on the other party he will evaluate your case and see if he can help.

If multiple attorneys turn down your case or give you advice on a settlement amount, it is usually an indication of the strength of your case. As you have figured out, going forward without a lawyer is not likely going to lead to a good result. You might have to change your expectations.
