Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

I was ivolved in an acciedent an they said they submitted a claim to the insurance company. the driver that hit me was a drunk driver . he only had 50,000.00 liability coverage. i wasnt the only one hit in the acciedent we filed a claim first but one of the other people tha was hit deid soon after my lawyer said that there was no more money left to pay on our claim that they were gone have to file a claim with my insurance company for payment . have ever heard anythong like that or do i need to consult with another attorny.

Listen to your lawyer. It sounds like you were smart enough to carry uninsured/underinsured coverage (everyone should), and in a case where a driver is uninsured, you are protected by being able to seek funds from your own insurer. This is common and is exactly why you have the coverage.
