Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

A few months ago, I broke my leg and injured my back in an auto accident. My car was totaled and I tried to resolve the accident myself but the insurance company wont offer more than $16,750.00. That won't cover my medical bills. Is there anything that I can say to make them increase the offer?

I would suggest retaining a lawyer and filing a lawsuit. Feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns.

You made a catastrophic mistake in talking to the insurer without counsel. That almost always cuts the value of a case by 2/3 of more. A lawyer may be able to partially undo the damage you have done, although you will likely do far less well than if you had used counsel from day one.

Feel free to call my office for a review to see if we see a way to undo the damage to the case and seek a better settlement.

I have been handling personal injury cases for over ten years. I also only charge a 25% contingency fee (and it does not increase if we have to file a lawsuit). Many attorneys charge 40-45% contingency fees.

The offer is quite low considering the broken leg. I would need to see your medical records to determine why the insurance company has not given you full value. Feel free to contact my office for a free phone consultation. 404.529.9081. I am a solo practioner so you will speak with me; not a 'case manager' or law clerk.

Regardless of whether you contact my office; you should hire an attorney.

Best,

David H. Glass, Esq.
