Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

I asked this question earlier, and got some great responses, but I want to clarify one thing. He is living with me in one town and has allowed the relatives to live in his house for the past 1.5 years in another town. Just wanted to clarify because previous responses said he was allowed houseguests. If the answer to the following question is still the same, please just let me know. Thank you in advance, as this has weighed on my brain...My father is allowing relatives to live free in his house. I have attempted to tell him I believe they could now be considered squatters as there is nothing in writing regarding them being there. He doesn't believe that is the case. Can you tell me if I am correct?

They are tenants. (There is no such legal terms as a "squatter.") A written lease is not required. As such, he may evict them as any tenant is evicted.
