Hire a lawyer or title company do do a title search, or go to the courthouse yourself to check the real estate records (which would be difficult if you did not know how to do it). A credit report should never be relied upon to see if a lien is recorded.

Mr. Riddle is correct. A Georgia lawyer or title company will be able to do this for you relatively quickly without much cost, depending how in-depth the search is. If you would like assistance, please feel free to contact me.

Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes and does not create an attorney-client privilege.******
