Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

What does the Georgia law states concerning the use of a private access road off a public hwy. Over the years the particular access road was shared by two property owners for the past 80 to 100 plus years. However, one of the land owner who once possessed the land has sole it to a new owner. The new owner has placed a gate with lock and key at the entrance point which is the gateway to entering both properties. Since this gate with lock has been set in place this has limited the other property owner from gaining access to his property. (No Point of Entrance Exist) I've been told that there's a law on the Georgia Books that states if a private access road has been shared by two property owners for more than 7-years neither of the property owners can prevent the other owner or limit the use of the access road.
