When someone with a life estate deeded property dies, is there a time period for their family to clear our their possessions before the owner takes possession? It will not be an amicable situation.

Assuming this is in Georgia, and they were legally there, and there is no lease, they are tenants at will. They get 60 days notice. It would be smart to do it with a written notice where you can prove delivery. If they fail to go in 60 days, you evict them via Magistrates Court. It would be wise to contact a lawyer before doing any of this.
