Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

was married for 24 years - purchased house during that time had a mortgage in both names lived in LA. Got divorced and continued to help with house payment even though exhusband live in the house. House was paid off 20+ years ago. My ex-husband signed an act of donation of the real estate to me prior to his death in the same year as the act of donation. This was done with his attorney in Louisiana - I live in GA. Where does not leave me with the IRS - Federal taxes - State Taxes and such.

You need to speak to a CPA about your taxes. Likely a gift tax return was needed. There may or may not be tax actually owed.
