Legal Question in Social Security Law in Georgia

i have a coworker whos daughter is in the 6th grade and is in special ed she cannot read and write and her mom wants to know if there is anything from stopping her from having her daughter get social security if u have any info please let me know id really appreciate it

I would need more information to give you a better response, but the child may qualify for Social Security benefits. There are two types of benefits, Title II and Title XVI. The child, if qualified, would be so via the mother or parents. Even adult children who are incapacitated in some ways, which qualify for benefits under the Social Security Administration's definition of disability, would qualify. There are quite a number of criteria. It is best if your co-worker contacts the attorney directly to provide more information.
