Re: Obligated to his child support through marriage?

In theory these are his seperate debts and you are not responsible for them. However as a practical matter if you, as most couples do, establish joint bank accounts, acquire joint assets, file joint tax returns, comingle paychecks in a checking account, ect., then you can have problems with creditors attaching the asset. even where they wrongly attach your assets, fixing the problem can be time consuming, frustrating, and often expensive. Depending on your situation avoiding problems can take significant planning so you may be ahead to spend some money and talk to someone who can review the situation and offer you specific detailed advice.
