Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

I filed a sexual harrassment complaint against the assistant principal at my school last year, this year I was let go and will not be given a cause because I am not tenured. Can I file a wrongful termination lawsuit?

Yes you can. You need to make sure that you file the action with the EEOC within 300 days of your termination or if you decide to go the state route with the IDHR (Illinois Department of Human Rights) within 180 days of your termination. If you miss these deadlines then you will not be able to pursue your case. Feel free to contact me to discuss this further.
