Legal Question in Administrative Law in Illinois

I left a company during training. Contract states a repayment penalty. I want to take the position that I am ultimately going to be paying for the certification so I would like the opportunity to complete it. What are the precedents on this position? (I live in MN, company is based I believe in KS, contract says IL applies.)

If you voluntarily terminated there is no law that will help you get your job back in Illinois. You'd have to look at the terms and conditions of the contract to see if there are any reinstatement rights. My guess is there are none and you're thinking Illinois has some law on this. Sorry. When you quit you quit here.
