Legal Question in Administrative Law in Illinois

my mom died with no will and all she had was a mobile home. What happens to the home if I do not want it? It is not worth much and it would cost more to have it removed/destroyed that I have. Am I responsible for the cost to get rid of this mobile home

Thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear about your mother. You need to open a probate case and administer her estate. This is a relatively simple and inexpensive process. You would thereafter be able to sell the mobile home - it is undoubtedly worth something? Either way, you cannot technically alter/move the mobile home until the estate is administered properly.
