Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois

I had 2 representatives knocking on my door saying that it is mandatory by the Unites States government to fill out the 2010 census. I am NOT comfortable with the "accorn" situation, nor with any of the questions which incluse bithdays/income/telephone numbers/whether I rent or own and how much I pay... etc etc.

I am ONLY willing to answer how many people live in my household. They threatened me with a $5000 fine! What is going on ?...

There is no acorn section. The U.S. Constitution require a a census every ten years. Answer the questions. If you fear governmental data bases, you are already in them.
