Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois

I purchased a brand new motorcycle in June 2006. I thought I paid for GAP insurnace. My motorcycle was stolen in May of 2009. My regular insurance covered all but ~$750.00 of my remaining loan balance. I was hoping that my GAP insurance would cover the rest; however, when I called SafeGuard, there is no record of me having GAP insurance (or any insurance) with them. I looked further into the paperwork and it turns out that I paid for a large freight/handling fee even though I never shipped the bike or had it delivered. The dealership has sinced closed (of course). Now all I have is a contract for SafeGuard signed by me and the dealership stating that I should have GAP insurance. What do I do to either get my money back for Freight/Handling, or get GAP insurance to cover my remaining balance?

Sorry about your situation.

You MAY be able to go after the person(s) who owned the dealership as individuals.

Regarding the GAP insurance, it is most likely too late for that.
