Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

I have about $6000 in barter debt from a barter company. I have not received work referrals from this barter company for years that would allow me to reduce my barter debt. I have decided to terminate my relationship with them and now they want me to pay the barter debt in cash. Can they sue me for collection?
