Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

My husband and I signed a contract last month with a debt consolidation company called World Law Processing, World Law Debt, etc. When I went to sign on to their website a couple of things happened...1) a ton of Google results popped up about this company being in multiple lawsuits with different states 2) I noticed their website was not secure 3) their website would not allow me to log on with the information they gave us. They have repeatedly told us not to pay our credit card debt and are supposed to be withdrawing money from our checking acct in 2 days. Is there a way to get out of this contract? My husband and I both have a sinking feeling about this company and are not sure what to do please HELP!!!!

Most of these companies are scams and can not do what they promise in fact, they are giving bad legal advice without a law license. Close out the account you gave to them and open a new account at a different bank. Notify them in writing that you are canceling your "contract" with them immediately, and keep a copy for your own use later if needed. Report the company to the Attorney General's office, the BBC, and any Federal Agency that will take your complaint. Talk to an attorney in your area. Good luck!
