Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

being sued by a company for an old credit card debt. They filed a judgment and now want me to go to court and seize assets. Was making payments 2 years ago but ran into financial problems. I retired in June 2013. I recieve pension from Job and VA

disability. I am a Viet Nam Vet. What can I do. Or can they take action.

Pensions are exempt, even after they are deposited into your checking account. You may be what they call judgment proof. The papers you received list what exemptions you can claim. Read it carefully or see a lawyer. They may not be entitled to take anything from you,
