Under the law of accountability, if you took part in the commission of the crime, you are as guilty as the one who had the gun. The lowest sentence is 21 years. 6 years for the Class X armed robbery, and 15 years for the use of a gun, to run consecutively.

I've been a criminal defense lawyer for 35 years. Please call me to represent you. Accountability is a question of fact and law. The best way to defend this is to attack the accountability part. I have had success with this in the past. If the court finds you not accountable for the other's actions, you're not guilty of the armed robbery.

There are no guarantees, though. I related only what has happened in the past. I would need much more information from you to give you an opinion. That requires a consultation. Please call me at 708-263-8212.
