friend arrested

he was intoxicated, person asked him to steal book bag, once he touched it cops puled up and arrested him, i will not find out exact charges until 11-07-08 when he goes to court, felony for sure, they found a gun in the bag i was told.

won't be able to see him till then, see him, not talk to him though. he was tricked into touching the bag, person with him at the time sitting in jail also.

i need someone to help me with legal advice, he's a very nieve young man, just wants to fit in, but with the wrong crowd that night...

It is impossible for an attorney to provide you with much of a response with only the facts you have given. However, it would appear that the young man will be charged with a felony or more than one. He should have the very best criminal defense attorney he can afford. If he really didn't violate the law an attorney should be able to defend him.
