Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Illinois

Hello, my name is Heather. I have a legal question regarding work. I am being asked to sign written warning that I do not agree with. The warning is false and another attempt by her to harass me. If I sign the warning, it goes into my file. If I don't sign, I am threatened by termination.

Heather,

You can sign it and add a statement that says: By singing I acknowledge receipt of this warning but protest the contents therein." If your employer fires you for not signing the warning, you do not have a claim for wrongful discharge although you will likely be granted unemployment benefits if this is the reason (not singing) for the termination.
