Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

I received a dui eighteen years ago in Il. and my licenses were revoked. I have never tried to get them back but now I'm getting older (51) and need to get them back to get to dr.appts and to support myself...what do I need to do to get this started?

Hello. In my opinion, you should go to the nearest office of the Illinois Secretary of State and ask that your driving record be pulled to determine your present eligibility to get your driver's license reinstated. A lot will depend on whether you completed any and all conditions in connection with the dui that you got 18 years ago. I strongly suggests that you get legal representation. This can be a complicated process.
