I am planning to find a lawyer to help me with a will, trust, etc. I have one question. If I have no one able/willing to serve as my power of attorney can I hire someone to handle these duties for me?

I have never seen a "paid agent" nor have I ever seen or heard of such a person existing. Depending on the size of your estate, a bank might be willing to act as a trustee of a trust, but that an expensive course of action, You are saying there is no friend or family available. Maybe you have not broadened your scope.
