Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Hi my name is casey Coleman I have full custody of my 18 month old daughter and today the mother text my phone and told me to do up papers to take her parental rights away. Is this something I should pursue. Or would I be wasting my time and money?

She probably thinks that it means she won't have to pay child support if she terminates her rights. Courts will generally not terminate rights just because a parent no longer wants a relationship with a child. You should talk to the lawyer who got custody for you before going any further. Just on what little you have written, I doubt that this will go anywhere as the courts generally want a child to have two parents, no matter how bad.
