Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

child support

My ex-husband is a minister, of sorts, and lives on donations and contributions to the ministry. He is not paying for our daughters expenses as set in the divorce settlement, yet he has remarried and had two more children. If I take him to court, they can't garnish wages, because he doesn't have a W-2. Is there any way for me to get a monthly income for our daughter? Thanks!!!

Re: child support

YES! Of course the court can order him to pay even though he does not have a W-2. You need to bring him to court, have the judge input an income to him, and start support. Our firm has done that exact thing to several non custodial parents and its simply a process, and the time to properly go after the person's income. This guy doesn't sound like much of a minister to me BTW.
